Public Relations Director
In my role as the Public Relations Director for 2K in Novato, California, I wore many hats and enjoyed the challenge of balancing it all. I oversaw an internal team of three and we worked closely with the product managers and producers of at least 10 games at a time. Each product was in various stages of development from inception to launch and the development teams were located in various places around the world. I helped guide the PR managers on my team and managed several products directly myself, including the launch of Borderlands which has since gone on to earn more than 1 billion dollars in net sales revenue and a movie is now in the works.
I was also responsible for managing our department’s relationship with the corporate public relations and investor relations teams at our parent company, Take 2 Interactive, based in New York. As the Director, I oversaw corporate media efforts for 2K and managed interview opportunities with our executive team. I reported directly to the V.P. of Sales and Marketing, so I also ensured my department delivered weekly and monthly reports to our colleagues on that side. |
