I was fortunate to receive my COVID-19 vaccine early and have been fully vaccinated since mid-February. However, I understand that 95% efficacy is not 100%. I also spend at least one hour in very close contact with my clients. Therefore, I will continue to require mask use with clients who are unvaccinated. I know all of my regular clients and all but one or two are fully vaccinated due to specific health issues. Even though the risk is slight, I could still potentially become infected and pass it on to others, and it's unlikely I would even know because the vaccination is excellent at preventing serious illness and death. I do have many clients, however, who are over the age of 60 and some have health issues. For those reasons, I will continue to remain cautious about my own exposure in order to protect them.
So, if you are vaccinated, we can work together without masks. If you are not vaccinated, I will insist that we both wear masks and I hope you'll be happy to help me protect those who might be more vulnerable. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I truly hope everyone stays healthy and happy during this crazy time we're all going through.
